She is busy flexing her arms and legs - twisting, rolling, punching and kicking - but I still haven't been able to feel these movements. She is also yawning, hiccuping, sucking and swallowing. Her blood vessels are visible through her thin skin. Her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place.

Tic Tac Week Seventeen
Baby girl is now about the size of an apple, weighing approximately five ounces, and is about 5 inches long from head to bottom. She continues to move her joints. Her sweat glands are starting to develop. Her skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone and the umbilical cord is growing stronger and thicker too.

Tic Tac Week Sixteen
Weighing three and half ounces and and measures four and half inches head to rump, baby is about the size of an avocado. Her heart is pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, but this amount will continue to increase as she continues to develop. Tiny bones are forming in her ears allowing her to listen to my voice. She is also starting to grow toenails.
My uterus continues to expand and move forward to accommodate Tic Tac. Thankfully, we have already shared the news of Tic Tac with friends and family.

Tic Tac Week Fifteen
Growing baby now measures about four inches long from crown to rump and weighs about two half ounces, about the size of a lemon. She is busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. She can now move all her joints and limbs and her proportions are becoming more normal. Although her eye lids are still fused shut, she can sense light.

Tic Tac Week Fourteen
Tic Tac's head is about the size of a gumball and hair is starting to sprout on her tiny head. She now weighing 1.5 ounces and measures three and half inches from head to bottom, about the size of a kiwi.
By the end of this week, her arms will have grown to a length that is proportion to the rest of her body. She can grasp and suck her thumbs. Her kidneys are producing urine, which she releases into the amniotic fluid around her. Tic Tac is starting to develop lanugo, ultra-fine downy peach-fuzz covering of hair, all over her body. Hopefully when she is born, she won't be a little fur ball like Siobhan was!
